About Me.

18582425_1890583677622198_3742164214849345427_n.jpgI always feel like I’m back at school in my french class whenever I get asked about myself I feel like I should be saying I enjoy going to the cinema with friend (pretty sure that was everyone in my classes answer) or in a job interview and the moment they ask me about myself, I sort of forget who I am or what I do (that’s what I have done here).
Basically, I’ve googled to get ideas. So here goes – I’m Rebecca, I run an Etsy shop called Preston Avenue from my home in Kent. I have celiac disease which means I can’t eat gluten. I am obsessed with my bunny (Prince). Also, I am trying to be a better person for the environment, myself and every other animal on the planet.

How I Started My Shop?
It all started after I had to leave my 9-5 office job because of severe depression and anxiety. After over a year of living in a dark place inside my head, I finally started to overcome and be back in control of my life.
A therapist helped me understand and find ways to cope and one of them was crafting! This encouraged me to get out of bed and gave me a purpose as well as a goal. I started just by making things for me, my family and friends. Then I took the scary decision to start selling on Etsy. After a few shop name changes and lots of ups and downs! My shop is finally started to take off but I still have a long way to go and I’m so excited for this adventure.
